The Kaizer Chiefs have been given a MAJOR boost ahead of their big homecoming!
Three of Kaizer Chiefs’ key players have returned to training, giving the team a big boost ahead of the league’s restart.
Three key players have returned to training, giving the Kaizer Chiefs a big boost in terms of playing personnel.
Samir Nurkovic, a Serbian striker who has been sidelined with a knee injury since August, has resumed training at Naturena.
“I have had this injury niggling me for a while now, the medical team felt it was best to get the operation done. Further assessments will be done after the operation. The medical team will give me a timeline on the recovery process after that.” – the Kaizer Chiefs striker said at the time.
“So far so good in terms of the response from the boys. It hasn’t been easy obviously because we are coming back from a situation.” Zwane told the Kaizer Chiefs media department.
“And of course getting about 10 to 12 days of rest, spending some time with our families gave us the opportunity to reflect. Coming back now this year and also for the second round of the PSL games, it’s going to be demanding.
“I think in our six days of training now the boys are not looking bad, they look good, even those who are coming from injuries like Samir Nurkovic are coming up well.
Lebogang Manyama also looks good. From the sessions, the boys have responded positively and Kaizer Chiefs are looking forward to the games.”
Dumisani Zuma, a midfielder for the Kaizer Chiefs, has also returned to the training pitch at Naturena after being out in the cold for months following his incarceration.
After being arrested for drunk driving in November 2021, the midfielder was suspended by the team and placed in a rehabilitation program.
Zuma’s agent, on the other hand, has stated that the midfielder has returned to Kaizer Chiefs for training, implying that he would be given a second chance at Naturena.
