At Naturena, Arthur Zwane revealed how he motivates his players.
One of the things that Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Arthur Zwane frequently stresses to the young players at Naturena is the importance of discipline.
When called upon to fill in as the main man on the bench, Zwane has been able to elicit the best performances from the Amakhosi players, who appear to enjoy playing for the former winger.
“What I’ve learned is to stay modest, to keep your feet on the ground while remaining the person that people recognize in terms of respect and affection.” When I first joined Kaizer Chiefs as a player, one of the things they taught me was love and peace, which is fitting given the club’s theme. As players, we had to go out and practice that all the time. That’s one of the things I always tell our kids: be modest, show respect, and don’t look down on other people when things are going well, since this is a game that can be brutal at times.

“There are times when things are not going your way and it depends on what would you have said in the past, the things that can come back and haunt you. So you try, by all means, even when you get credit from people, it’s not all about you. Yes, people can say Arthur Zwane, but the fact remains that there are other people who are making our life easy as coaches.”
