Another Chiefs Veteran To Follow Baccus Out As Zwane Starts New Revolution
Following the news that midfielder Kearyn Baccus is set to make an exit at Kaizer Chiefs, the club look set to part ways with a striker who has struggled in front of goal.
Amakhosi are planning on making changes to the squad after confirming the appointment of Arthur Zwane as head coach for a period of three years and this means that some of the more experienced players in the team will be affected by this.
The Siya crew has been led to believe that Amakhosi are going to part ways with Colombian forward Leonardo Castro, who has struggled with consistent form and injuries throughout his time at Naturena.
Castro turned 33 earlier this month and it appears the Soweto giants are looking to bring younger strikers into the team, with the arrival of Ashley du Preez from Stellenbosch FC imminent.
Castro, who will see his contract expiring in June, started the season recovering from injury, but has not quite found his rhythm since making a return to the team. He was unable to find the back of the net in the 13 matches he played during the past season.
Another player who is believed to be heading out at Naturena is Dumisani Zuma, with AmaZulu being strong favourites to secure his signature.
