A potential Kaizer Chiefs transfer target reportedly declined to extend his agreement with Supersport United.
Luke Fleurs, a target for Kaizer Chiefs, is reportedly refusing to sign a new contract. He was named the PSL Young Player of the Season after a standout performance the season before that earned him the honor.
The 21-year-old center back, who has already represented his country in all National team age groups since joining Supersport United from Ubuntu Cape Town, is expected to achieve great things in his career.
Kaizer Chiefs, who have long been interested in Luke Fleurs, will be keeping a close eye on the latest developments in the hopes of seizing the opportunity to sign him to a new deal.
Since Thulani Hlatshwayo and Dihlokwe have been Gavin Hunt’s go-to players at the back this season, Luke Fleurs has played in fewer games overall. Luke has also fallen down the pecking order.
At the PSL Awards at the end of the season, Luke Fleurs made a point of stating that he is looking for a new challenge and that he hopes to move elsewhere the following season in his speech.
It remains to be seen whether Kaizer Chiefs will definitely gets this young man.
