After a court case was opened against him during the festive season, a Mamelodi Sundowns player could be facing legal issues.

Sundowns player Mothobi Mvala’s girlfriend, Palesa Botipe, has filed a domestic abuse complaint against him, according to the Siya crew.

According to the information gathered by the Siya crew, the footballer and Botipe have been together for more than five years, dating back to when he was still playing for Highlands Park.

However, while it appeared that they were happy and everything was going well between them, a source close to the couple has revealed that things haven’t been going well and that the matter has now been taken to the authorities for intervention.

“Palesa Botipe, Mothobi Mvala’s girlfriend and the mother of his child, has filed a domestic abuse complaint against him. Palesa has had enough of Mothobi’s abuse and has decided to take legal action against him because he won’t stop.

They’ve been dating for over five years and were planning to marry when the footballer sent his uncles to pay lobola for her, but the lady believes she’s been protecting the guy for far too long and wants him to face consequences.

She wanted to shield him and his career, but she is suffering in silence and has had enough. Worse, the lady is expecting their second child, but the guy hasn’t stopped acting,” the source said.

“A protection order has been issued against him by the lady.” He curses at her even in front of their child, and he gets physical at times.

I know a lot of people will be shocked because he comes across as this humble person who is very respectful, but they don’t know what his partner has been through because of him.

He has been physically and mentally abusing her, and the lady has no choice but to take him to court, and he is scheduled to appear in court on January 12th,” the insider stated.

The Siya team has seen the court documents requiring the Bafana Bafana midfielder to appear in court on domestic violence accusations on January 12th.
